Health Care Bullshit
I am going to try to make this a quick read, but it’s going to be hard.
My oldest son Julian is diabetic type 1, insulin dependent like my brother in law Johnny, Hi Johnny!!
He uses a one touch meter, fine. But the Dr needs reports on his numbers, no problem, so I pay $50 for the software and the cable to be able to download it into a computer. NOT compatible with Vista, in WIN 7, or even a MAC!?? WTF so 50 bucks for software that works great with XP, a 10 year old operating system. OK over it, but not.
There is another meter from BAYER with a built in USB connection and software that works GREAT, is it covered under my insurance? NO!!! Why? Does it make everything better for the patient my son? YES.
OK so if I want to switch the meter and test strips it’s cheaper to buy it all from Amazon than through my “insurance”.
I had to clarify with my rep at Anthem and say literally “it’s cheaper to get this out of pocket than through insurance right” he said “yes”.
So I followed with “this is not even a discount plan, much less insurance why am I paying $1000 per month for my family with this plan when others are getting free insurance that are not insured and or even citizens?” He followed with “I am not sure sir”. WTF?
Jawbone Jambox Review
This thing rocks! For such a little speaker it sounds great. Connects by Bluetooth and also acts as a speakerphone for conference calls 10 hour battery life too plus rechargeable. Hard to beat this nothing out there like it.
Another cool feature I discovered is that you can listen to music while on a call, and the other person CANNOT hear the music! It tones down the volume a bit and then noise cancels out the music for the other party, sweet!
Also great for iPad and iPhone games.
Ryan Dunn Jokes
I know it’s too soon, but I’ll post all you got.
Ryan Dunn had horrible dandruff.
They found his head and shoulders all over the dashboard.
What’s the difference between Ryan Dunn and David Carradine?
Dunn wasn’t wearing a belt when he died.
The Ryan Dunn story has come as quite a shock to me.
I admit because he was actually on the radio this morning.
And the steering wheel. And the gear stick.
OK I think we’re Dunn here. Don’t hate me.
